PORTHIA is a women’s footwear brand that integrates three concepts: conceptual femininity, elegant design and excellence in craftsmanship. The brand is named after a talented Thai-born designer, Porthia Tantivorawong, who naturally combines a mix of colour, material and whimsical touch in shoe creation.
Porthia achieved her fashion design degree (MA) from an Italian prestigious design school, Istituto Marangoni. After graduation, she worked as a junior designer for luxury footwear brands such as Tabitha Simmons and L.K Bennett. Additionally, she underwent training in technicality of shoe craft with Italian shoe masters.
With her love and understanding for footwear, she founded her brand in 2015. The brand design house is based in London; PORTHIA’s beauty is created with great attention to detail into a unique sophistication.
